This learning tool was designed for new students of nursing and new students in the field of medicine. This game assists nursing students and medical students in learning the basic medical language by matching up medical abbreviations to their full written descriptions. This Medical Abbreviations deck contains 26 pairs of essential medical abbreviations and acronyms which are used regularly in the language of nursing and medicine.
* The use of several acronyms (QD & QOD) has been discouraged by JCAHO but they remain prevalent in old and new medical documents. Therefore, we have included them for educational purposes but do not endorse their continued use.
